The 3rd Shandong Province Coarse Feed Conference was successfully held in 2017

From April 18th to 19th, 2017, the 3rd Shandong Province Coarse Feed Conference was successfully held at the Fengguan Holiday Hotel in Dezhou, Shandong Province.

The conference commenced with opening speeches delivered by esteemed figures in the industry. Zhang Zhimin, Chairman of the Shandong Dairy Association, Zhai Guiyu, Deputy Director and PhD Researcher of the Shandong Provincial Animal Husbandry Station, and Li Ting, Deputy Director of the Dezhou Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau, each shared their insights and perspectives on the importance of the event.

Deputy General Manager Zhang Hong had the honor of representing CTC China and delivering the opening speech. Zhang Hong expressed gratitude for the industry platform established by the Shandong Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau and the Shandong Dairy Association. He emphasized the significant progress achieved through collaborative efforts, leveraging resource, production, and market advantages to contribute to the industry's development.

In line with the theme of fostering cooperation and mutual benefit, Zhang Hong pledged CTC China's commitment to revitalizing the dairy industry. He articulated the company's dedication to assuming its role in bearing the industry's mission and emphasized their readiness to lead by example in pursuit of shared success.

The conference conducted a series of expert lectures. Dr. Xuejun Qiu from the Department of Animal Science of Ohio State University, CTC China Animal Nutrition Consultant, presented the speech of "Theory and Practice of Dairy Cow Nutrition Management under Current Situation" on behalf of CTC China.

 On the morning of the 19th, the conference held a special lecture on the milk bar. Mr. Wang Bin, the technical consultant of Sunhai Food Ingredients (Qingdao) Co., Ltd., gave a keynote speech on "own ranch milk bar system solution" for the milk bar owners who participated in the conference.


During the conference, Manager Wang Bin conducted a thorough analysis of the advantages and challenges faced by milk bar owners. He highlighted the benefits of owning dairy farms, such as access to fresh, high-quality milk at a low cost, and the brand influence derived from economies of scale. However, he also acknowledged the difficulties, including unclear brand positioning, limited product research and development capabilities, high operational costs, and ineffective promotion methods.

 

To address these challenges, Manager Wang Bin proposed four solutions for milk bar owners:

 

1.Establish a clear brand positioning focused on providing high-quality food and functional gifts.

2.Form strategic alliances and outsource technology to enhance product development capabilities.

3.Implement measures to reduce operational costs and increase revenue.

4.Utilize WeChat mall platforms to promote products and streamline sales channels.

Additionally, the Shandong Dairy Association unveiled an action plan titled "Revitalizing the Dairy Industry, Responsible for Mission," aligning with the objectives outlined in the No. 1 Central Document. This initiative aimed to bring together stakeholders from various sectors, including the grass industry, breeding industry, and livestock product supply chain, to explore strategies for developing and utilizing coarse feed resources, reducing dairy cow costs, increasing farmer income, enhancing market adaptability, and fostering the healthy and sustainable growth of the dairy industry.

 

The 3rd Shandong Province Rough Feed Conference in 2017 marked a significant milestone in these collective efforts and was deemed a resounding success.
